(Sorry for the long post)I recently had my local shop install a SB CON OFE in my 01 HO. They ordered the 13" upgrade clutch clutch by mistake and tried to install it. They did finally get the right clutch and it seems to work great. My question is if they got lazy and left the 13" upgrade flywheel instead of resurfacing my original. I have had starter problems ever since. The starter wont engage half of the time making grinding noises and is getting worse. I have already replaced the starter contacts with Larry B's and had it out of the truck several times and disassemled it and every thing looks and works fine. Are the flywheels the same diameter at the ring gears? Should I just get a new starter? :{

I just installed a sb con ofe 13" flywheel on my 01. when i tried to bolt up the flywheel i noticed the flywheel was hitting the starter nose housing! i needed the grind starter nose housing about an 1/8 inch, in the correct spot. Maybe the casting is alittle thicker on 01?
