I’ve been reading a lot about clutches and it’s time for a new one in my 2007. I would like to hear from those of you that actually have experience with changing out your clutch. I want to know the plus and minus of staying with dual mass or changing to single. I tow a 9700 lb. horse trailer and I use a Smarty Jr. in the tow mode. When towing horses I need smooth starts and stops and when I’m loaded I’ll be in the 12000 lb. range.

So, with that said pleases let me hear what you know, not so much what you think or what brand to buy I can research that.

Thanks a bunch,

OK, new South Bend solid flywheel single disc clutch with hydrolic upgrade will be going in next week.

Thanks for all the input.

Just saw you thread today. When my stock clutch need replaced I am going with the Valair 3850 Double disc and upgraded hydraulics. I have several friends who have this clutch and it is performing excellently for them. They had no problems with any of the install whatsoever, all fit correctly, plug and play so to speak.
