Says it is an improvement over the smooth slippery metal filters. Supposed to be textured to make it easier to put on or take off.

The "User Friendley Filters" are not available as of yet for any of our applications. The first to be released will be the FS19579 fuel filter for 2000 and up trucks. I do not think there will be that much of a change to the filter.
