New Crew Cab Availible??

Went truck shopping today, again. Looking for 6. 7/dually/4x4



Ran across ANOTHER dealer telling me, . . . that they were told, . . the new larger crew cab is NOT going to be offered for the 2010 -2500/3500's! #@$%!



Has anyone else heard this?



From everything I've seen, Dodge will offer a larger crew cab (not Mega) and an 8' box.

all of the advertising i've seen promotes the crew cab with an 8' bed. look at the new motor trend (crappy articles) shows the new crew cab configerations. the dealers want to dump their current stuff.

my dealer says they will be in in sept.

Don't worry about the dealer, rely on the fine folks here at the TDR for your info.

Yea their gonna make a crew cab and also are continuing on with the MegaCab. Ive been truck shopping lately, and one dealer told me that they were going to make the current style for 4 months and call them 2010s and then the new bodystyle would come out early next year as a 2011. Also had another say they were getting rid of the manual, and going like GM has offering only autos.



Needless to say, I almost told them they were full of it, but held my tongue. They all claim they wont make the Mega either. I put them in their place on that though...

... no kidding! Sometimes I go on the lot just to kick tires and hear what kind of uneducated crap they have to say... just so I can tell them they don't know I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER about what they are saying!

When I am looking at new trucks I ask the saleman about the gear ratios and GCWR if they can not tell me I look for a diffrent saleman.

Sounds like they might be giving you a snow job to sell what they have on the lot. But these days anything can happen. If Chrysler suppliers aren't getting

paid, good luck getting anything new.

I saw a 2011 on a lot last night the sticker said "2011 Megacab" and it was a longbed. Didn't look like the previous megacabs as it did not have the extra space behind the rear door on the outside. It was locked so couldn't see inside it to compare.

Sounds like the sticker was wrong - not the first mistake to be seen on a window sticker. If it didn't have a MegaCab body (i. e. , space behind the rear seat), then it wasn't a MegaCab - period! It was a Crew Cab.



The MegaCab is available with a short bed. The Crew Cab is available with a short or long bed. We have a 2011 Crew Cab long bed. Our dealer has plenty of both MegaCabs and Crew Cabs sitting on the lot - buyer's choice.
