New Cummins owner-Where is the factory?

Ok, I've got a friend who works at the Fenton, Mo plant and he says my engine was built in Mexico. From what I gather, my '06 2500 Auto, Quad Cab was built in Mexico but the 5. 9 Cummins was built in Columbus, Indiana. Is this correct? How can I find out?

Cummins also builds engines in Mexico, but don't know for sure how to determine where our engines are built.

Your engine was indeed built in Columbus, IN. The engines are shipped to the DC plant in Mex for installation there.

The 5. 9 and 6. 7L engines are built at the Cummins Mid-range Engine Plant (CMEP) in Walesboro, Indiana. Just south of Columbus.
