Check out what Paul at Defiant Truck Products built for and just installed on my truck!!
I have always REALLY like Paul's two tube light bars... the way he curves them to match the front of the truck makes them look elegant, but also like they simply belong on the truck. They are also strong!!
While I DID want the additional protection of the top hoop, I actually did NOT really like the way he normally made the top hoop straight and leaning forward PAST the curved lower bars, even though he did this to add protection to the additional lights that are mounted on the middle tube.
A few months ago, I was down near his shop in Los Angeles and we collaborated together to come up with this new, custom design for the top hoop. The new top tube is ALSO curved, and is supported by a couple of uprights that keep it directly in line with the lower tubes. It maintains the lines of the truck, the lines of the light bar and also protects the grill, hood and additonal lights.
Paul is a GREAT guy to work with, an excellent fabricator, and his customer service and quality control is top notch. He also installs the light bars for free if you can come to his shop!!
I am EXTREMELY happy with tha way this looks and works on my truck, even though the lights are not wired in yet. The two outside lights are KC Daylighters in a Stainless Steel housing with Warn dual beam (fog AND driving) inserts. The middle light is a KC Daylighter SS with A long range Pencil beam.
Here are the pix. Whaddya you guys think ??
