Can someone tell me the best place to buy a new dash. not a dash cover. i have the dash cover and i am not happy with it. the cracks on the dash under the cover a squeaking. i did the jb weld trick like was suggested and i guess it came loose. some of you might have seen my post about the squeak i could not find well i am sure thats what it is now. it can be an after market custom dash or an OEM. I just want a fair price and good quality. thanks for any help.

I have the full replacement from Genos. Haven't installed it yet. I like the idea of the fiberglass and the price. The main question is quality.

o i am getting them also but i am about to go nuts with this thing squeaking lol. its like fingernails on the chalk board to me. or a foam cup rubbing on something, i am going crazy.

Those kind of noises are irritating#@$%!

Be down your way around Christmas in Hickory on an atv riding trip. Maybe we can meet if you have time?

If you do not want to do this job yourself give Chrysler Customer Care a call and talk to them, they know the dashes are a problem. I called them about mine and they agreed to cover the labor cost to have my dash top replaced. All I paid for was the top itself and this happened just last year when my truck was 9 years old.

i will do the work. even if i paid parts only thats too much and i have done about 10 of these things so i have it down now (not mine of course). my dealer is telling $550 there is no way i am paying that much for that dash. although my dealer seems to be a little stiff on all their prices compared to other dealers.

Since you have done it ten times, how hard a job is it? I have been putting it off for 3 years and I need to do it. I thought about not even painting the replacement. I don't think a black dash with gray interior would look bad. JC

its not to bad. you take the air bag computer out at the bottom the passenger air bag lower the steering wheel ( just 2 bolts) the i loosen both bolts at the bottom of the dash behind the kick panel. after that you have 5 screws at the top of the dash near the windshield and it will lean back to your seats. thats the hard work. you then have a ton of little screws you have to take out. they are all over the place. you will find them as you go. i never counted them cause there are so many. if you have a little batter screw driver you will really like it then! I can do one in about an hr or 2.

edit. there is some guy on here that talks about taking the entire dash out of the truck. dont waste your time with all that unless you have some other work to do.
