Has anyone else gotten a copy of this magazine? It has a picture on the front cover of the "BIG THREE"! WOW, really nice, it has an artical on the Dodge CTD about the front "lockable hubs", with great pictures... Also, will Seafoam still work with the new diesel fuel?

This forum (TDR) is really the best! Thanks to one and all over the year's!!!

thats not a new magazine it is very cool I subscribe to it lots of cool info on new and upcoming stuff couple issues back had a great article on the lack of durability on the 6. 0l it does not seem too biased on anything a hint here and there but not like some of the others that are nothing more than a commercial for Ford or Chevy.

I think you mean Diesel builder and yes it is new. Just read the editor page says reasons for the introduction of this new magazine. I will wait and see if it manages to stay in print before I suscribe though.

I like the magazine, but not the service. I sent a payment that was either lost or never received by them. Then, when I received two more invoices, I sent another payment which cleared my bank. Still, I received another bill from them and also one from a collection agency for 15 bucks. Rediculous!!!!

I used to be an editor of one of the magazines at the same publishing company. One of the reasons I left was because the publisher was also the VP of advertising, and "suggested" that I don't say anything negative about products and to only mention the positive things about products, which isn't necessarily dishonest, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

It is truly an advertising-driven company (no, editorial people aren't paid off by advertisers).

I read the diesel builder magazine. They made a few errors that I would have hoped someone with any passion for diesel powered trucks would catch. The Jeep CRD is a 2. 8L engine and not a 2. 3L. I think I saw that error twice. I think that was also the comparison with the power boxes. They couldn't find a 3rd Gen anywhere to compare? I think I will give them another look if I see it on the shelf but with a name like 'Diesel Builder', I expect a lot.

EErmert,

I have never heard of "Diesel Builder", but I have been following "DIESEL POWER" from its premier issue in the spring 2005. I have been impressed so far with their "EVEN" mix of diesel stuff, and they seem to be pretty good at showing the good and bad without bias. They acquired a guy earlier this year by the name of David Kennedy - have been reading his stuff for a few years now in HOT ROD and 4 Wheel & Off Road. I am not one for journalism, but I like the way he writes and he seems to have a good handle on what he writes about. Hopefully that will continue - I like what they are doing so far.

GOLIATHGMC: Yes, you did read the header, it's "DIESELPOWER", not diesel builder! I also agree with what you say about David Kennedy, this mag seems to put forth the fact's, letting you, the reader draw the conclusions... what about the "SeaFoam" question, that stuff seems to help my '03 really well!
