Guess I cant skulk around here anymore, I see my name is on the user list now, I've been outed!, gotta get my profile fixed, now that I am about to be a proud new owner, picking up my new CTD Dodge next Tue. in Las Vegas, I hope it is as good as everyone says.

no sig. yet.

I'll update when I get back, I definently learned a lot from this forum, checked the leads on dealers in Oregon, California and Nevada, most turned out to be bait & switch hustlers, after checking the inventory at Desert Dodge in Las Vegas I contacted Lilly the internet sales person, I found she is a person that will do what it takes to make a sale, the key is to do the homework and know about what the parameters are on the vehicle your fixin to buy. I'm sure I'll have a few questions when I get home with my new truck, but I know where to find the answers now. .

That's nice. Have you told everyone at TheDieselStop yet?

I got 11-13 for the first thousand miles now i'm up to 14. 5 1200 miles. getting the reflash in a week just get the TSB done and you should be happier at least you can outpull the powerpoke:D

I apprecieate your offer EXSTROKER, but I was hopin to get a truck that gets 25 mpg like everyone else says they are gettin,

somebody please help me before it is too late!! am I only going to get 7-9 mpg??? What kind of truck you drivin that gets such lousy milage EXSTROKE? is it stock?

I would take both the 25mpg claims and the 7mpg claims with a grain of salt. Empty normal driving should get you about 16 - 18 mpg, although I did get 26 once on a 7 hr drive at 50mph empty.

Yes, some with the 600's are experiencing worse mileage. They generally improve with age. The aforementioned reflash may also help.

My old PSD got 12. 3 loaded, highway (towing 7,000 lbs) and about 17 empty. I don't care if it got 35 mpg, the damn thing cost me $10,000 in 30mo to keep running and it never did run right. Couldn't get out of its own way.

As to the mileage claims, there are lots of posts here about the inaccuracy of the mileage readout, as well as fuel tank venting. While there are certainly some owners with legitimate complaints, there may be some significant variation in how much fuel people are getting into the tanks. I just wish mine would come so I could check my own mileage!

I just made a 52 mile trip tonight. Filled before the trip and then at the same pump on return. The overhead computer showed 18. 3 MPG and the actual calculate milage was 17. 45. Driving 60 +/- 5 MPG, almost all freeway. I know that a 52 mile trip is not a real accurate way to measure milage, but it's an indication of what I can expect. I think it's going to be just fine. BTW, I have 3000 miles on it.

Not to stomp on any one but there are NO 25MPG Cummin trucks out there. I worked in service in a D. C. dealer four years and ONCE in a while some guy would say I got 25mpg out of MINE. B. S. Sorry but unless its falling off Mt. Everest I don't buy it. Unless there checking it at 35 mph in high gear.
