New Door Seal TSB Issued 10/05

I posted several times in the past that STAR said there was a new seal coming, and unless you were going out of warranty to wait. Well the new TSB is on DealerConnect, 23-049-05 and was issued this morning.

My 05 has over 15k on it now and I have been waiting for the latest seal fix. I hope this one works.



Btw my 05 has had a torn seal since the day I bought it. It had 7 miles at the time. :-laf

just went on dealer connect and did search on tsb23-049-05 and was not found,i am in pennsylvania maby not updated yet

The tsb maye have just come out, but the ones that were replaced on my 04. 5 have been just fine and don't come in contact with the fender at all. My guess is that they are the ones that are in the tsb and now D/C has enough to replace the complete fleet.

The Bulb portion of the w/strip starts higher up the pillar-above where the door was rubbing on it. I put mine on last week



They should fit 03-05.

I wonder if the 06 door seals would be a direct bolt on. Seem to be quite a different design than my 05 which is torn.

The new style 05 works just fine and is a very easy install

The ones that were replaced in my 04. 5 did not look like the ones that came with the truck. They don't touch door where the old ones did.

This TSB only applies to '04 & '05 Rams. What about the '03 models?
