I have had DPP's stainless exhaust system on for two weeks now. For those of you who are considering a 4" system I would highly recommend it. I was impressed with the fit and finish of this system compared to others that I've had in the past. It is louder than stock, but not an annoying loud sound. No difference in sound at idle in the cab between stock and this system, but once you step on it you know it's there. It has a deep sound to it which I have received numerous comments on. The wife thinks it's a little too loud, but I'm working on that with her. Great job Mark and the guys at DPP!

As a side note, I am selling a DPP system for a friend. It is also a stainless system set up for a 2003-2004 quad cab short box. It has less than 400 miles on it. He lost his job and the truck was sold. The dealer wouldn't give him anything for the "extras" when he traded down so he took them off to sell individually. I would have bought it but as you can see I already have one! PM me for the info and info on other extras he is trying to sell.

No drone, but when pulling at highway speeds in that RPM band I can hear the deep tone of the exhaust more as the engine works. I had a truck in the past with a terrible drone problem and this sounds much different. Due to the muffler design of the DPP system it sends out a deep tone but not an annoying resonance through the cab. I can still have a conversation in the cab with no problem. I know that has been one of the complaints from others.

Put me in line1

Put me in line for your friends exhaust (obviously depending on price). Please email me or send a pm with the price. Thx

I get the drone right at 2100rpm. It's most noticeable in 6th gear at highway speeds. I might not have the clamps tight enough. I got them as tight as I could and took them back off, rotated them 1/2 turn, and tightened them again. I tried everything but couldn't get rid of it. I plan on contacting Mark at DPP to get some more suggestions. They have a really nice system, I just don't know if I did something wrong on the install??

i too got the dpp exhaust. very nice fit, went on easily. but too loud for me. on flat ground it was okay but when i had to get into the throttle it was unbearable for me. I thought it may have been do to the short bed, i still have the system on my truck only with a donaldson 30" muffler. much more to my liking, can hear it a little when i get on the throttle but under normal conditions it is almost as quiet as the stock system. I would rather hear the engine than the exhaust. everyone has different tastes and i'm sure plenty of people like it, just too loud for me.

I also went with band clamps instead of standard pipe clamps on the second install which makes it much easier to get apart. I will never use the pipe clamps again
