New Drain Plug

I want to replace the factory drain plug with a better on before I have a problem. I don't want to use one of the easy drain units from Genos. Instead I was thinking of a superplug, www.superplug.com or the newer HD plug Geno's sells.

The prices are the same so it seems logical to me to go with the Super Plug as it seems they have spent much time on engineering their magnet.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these. I just wanted some feedback before I buy.

Thanks

Cooker,

I installed a Superplug in my Dodge/Cummins in May of this year and I like it very much.
When I first received the plug, it did not come with a gasket. A couple days later, I received a letter with a gasket enclosed apologizing for not sending the gasket.
Now that's service. The plug has been in service for three oil changes to date and I'm very impressed with the product. The magnet is very strong and the overall quality of the plug is very good. Requires a large socket instead of a square drive.

Do you guys that use this super plug ever see any metal particals stuck to the magnet when you go to drain your oil???
Thanks

I had a very strong round magnet that I was checking out to see if it would fit inside the hole in the inside of the stock drain plug, well the darn thing sucked in there and I couldn't get it out,I was going to glue it. That was 60k ago, magnet is still suck there,I find a few fine particles on it when I change oil. The magnet set me back $1. 25,I've since installed a magnet on my front and rear differential plugs, they pick up more metal particles than the oil pan but not enough to worry about.

Been through three oil changes without much of anything being wiped off the magnetic oil drain plug.

When I had magnetic oil drain plug on remanufactured engine for Dodge Caravan, I would be removing small pieces of metal every oil change.

Cummins does an excellent job of blue-printing the engine from the factory.
