Big thanks to Daniel Puckett for picking these dually fenders up for me in Arkansas, and Chris Hughes for delivering them to me from St. Louis, both no charge. I owe them both a beer:-laf next Oct. at the cookout.

Some of you may remember this truck was hit by a Ford:mad: in a hit and run. Nothing ever came about from it. I guess if you are involved in such a thing, just tell the cops, it wasn't you  .

I've had them on for about a couple months now, but just recently got the LED marker lights wired up and felt like taking some pics. I am in the process of painting the inside of the bed white to hide the ugly rust, nothing major, just plain jane roll on Tractor and Combine paint. Also peeled/scraped off the cheesy window tent from all the windows, I think it looks much better now.

EDIT: Most of the damage was only to the dually fender. You can see a small streak of red paint from the Ford. There was a black streak that I buffed out. Then the molding piece was knocked off, sourced some new plastic pieces that the molding attaches too and just put the molding back on.

what kind of rims are those Bill?

I'm not sure. PM SamsRams or 'Mad Max' as he's changed his handle. I got the truck from him. They are probly the same ones as Philip has on his dually. 16".

here ya go fellas - they're from American Eagle:

PN# 0589-7696, 16x6, Polished, 8 on 6. 5-Dodge Dually Mag, +105 mm, 7 9/16, N/I, 2600 lbs, 24 lbs.

Here's a trick for inner rear aluminum wheels. They say you can't run aluminum on the inside - the reason is because there is no way to center the inner wheel... unless... you take 16 lug nuts for aluminum rims (long shank), cut the shanks off, thread the shanks all the way onto the rear dually wheel studs, then toss on the alunimum inner, it centers on the chanks, then toss on the outer, and torque on the other set of lug nuts. The only thing ya have to make sure of is be sure the two lug shanks don't touch, which just requires cutting the inner shanks the right length for the outer lugs to snug up tight - and then you have aluminum all around, and no worries  .

Is that 4 doors I see on your truck???

What models were available with 4 doors and what's the wheelbase?

-brian

Yes 4 doors. 81-85 were the years for crew cab with our body style. Wheelbase I'm not sure.

Oh Bill. This has been a mild winter so far. Why aren't there CTD emblems on that CC yet. :)

Those are the same rims I have. Only mine were used on a 72 Chevy C30 first. LOL

Neat truck ! sorry to hear about your fender problem ! A parking attendant tore one off of my 93 last week parking it... . I almost beat him to death on the spot..... I think that the penalty for hitting a guys prize 1 gen Dodge truck should be death on the spot... LOL...

Glad to see that you were able to get it fixed... ... Its a real nice looking rig...

Post some more pictures of it if you get a chance... I would like to see them

Here's a couple more. Same pose though. Yeah yeah Philip, I have enjoyed this mild winter as well. I'd like to have another '2nd' truck (1st gen) before I tear into this crew cab for the Cummins swap. I think I'm gonna take the driver side fender to a body shop and have it painted white to match the truck, then reuse my original (mint) passenger side fender. The MMiller red doesn't quite match the burgandy red. Here's the link to some older pics of the crew in my readers rigs: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?&userid=13880&albumid=17426
