New engine questions

Has the new ISB been or is it being used in any other application besides the Ram? I get the impression that this engine is a cross between the European engine and the current 24 valver. Anyone know of any technical date sources for the new motor? I checked the Cummins site but nothing there.



I am ready to order a new truck (wife has preapproved) but a bit leary about a totally new engine. At least the rest of the drive train and the body itself is not new.

Casey,from what I've heard they have been using them overseas for around a year now. So they should have the bugs worked out. Our Ram engines will be set up a little different,no variable turbo,front gear train,ect. Good luck on your new rig and keep us posted. I want a quad-dually but will have to wait a couple of years ... Doug

the variable turbo and rear geartrain would be a nice thing to have... oh well. .
