Ok so I have a 97 3500 and I melted the #2 piston with a combination of over fueling and a cooling issue. :{ But recently I bought an engine from a salvage yard out of a 93 1st gen. It only has 100,000 miles on it and I bought it for 1,000 dollars with everything on it. Turbo included. Everthing bolted up to it. But because of my overfueling issue I had when I was young and dumb I messed with the pump, I left the VE pump on the engine. My question is does somebody make an adapter for the throttle cables to fit this pump or am I going to have to do some fabrication? The truck will be running in a week and I have not drove the thing in at least two years. I miss my diesel and driving around a Ford F250 with a 5. 0 in it is getting old. I don't know if that truck is going to make it very much longer and I never know if it will start when I get up for work in the morning. Thanks for any advice.
