Can Comp tame Smarty's low boost fueling?

Just wondering if it would be feasible for Don M. to design a new "Mileage" series injector. Something like a Mach . 75 (similar in power to RV275's).

Wondering if his EDM process and design would net any more efficiency out of that level injector. I do know he can make them better matched and smoother overall.

I like the power level of the 275's for daily driving, probably due to being in the big city and do a lot of "stop & go" type driving where there can be a lot of crawling along and having that extra precision at the beginning of the go pedal is useful in that situation.

Tried the M1's and liked them very much, but were still a little hot off the bottom for what I was looking for.

Not sure if there would be a big demand for them or not. Guess most people want big power. . But I would think if they did net better mileage and were smoother running than 275's they would have SOME demand. Not sure how much, but if he had some I would try them.

What do you guys/gals think??

How about some stock HO injectors? They are slightly "smaller" than stock SO injectors. You could probably find a used set for reasonable price.

That might be fine for some people.

I'm talking about a NEW Formula1 injector, designed by we all know who, that would have about the same power output as the RV275's, but the efficiency, matched sets, and same care taken during production as the bigger Mach series injectors have.

Im thinking they would be cool running, efficient on fuel, and still perfect for the hot shotters, or whoever is happy with a mild, but great running truck.

Combine those with a Smarty, good intake & exhaust and were talking Sweet and Simple and run it on bio and we are talking very clean. JMO.

Well, actually a lot of heavy towers and hot shotters prefer RV275s. Not all but they have been a popular injector for years. I just think they can be "improved" upon by Formula 1's design & EDM experience. .

Appreciate your opinion and maybe youve got something there. .

The M1 gives an honest 65 hp increase at the wheels. RV275's are good for 30-35 depending on the truck. That difference is about the same or slightly more than comparing a M1. 0 to a M1. 6 (90HP).

HP Increase:
RV275 = 30-35
M 1. 0 = 65
M 1. 6 = 90

All fine injectors with a lot of satisfied owners. . But 275's are significantly different. Less power and not quite the efficiency that I believe can be achieved by F1's design, EDM process, and close attention to detail.

Im not saying there is any problem with the 275's. In fact they are a well proven injector mostly for the heavy tower, hot shots, or someone wanting only mild improvements. It is an opportunity to make a good product even better.
