New Factory Springs

Does anyone know if the measurement from the eye at front of spring to center pin on spring is different on one side than it is on the other. (Front Springs) I have 2 new factory springs installed on my truck and now the steering center is way off. The distance on the new springs are 1/2" different from each other with the same part number on both springs. The springs are not reversible.

Were they this way before install? Did you compare them on the floor next to each other ? How much did the new springs lift your truck? That is, the distance between the axle and bump stop? Did it change alot? Bill

The change was good. The stops where hitting before and now they are about an inch away.



Shop insalled them.

I drive the same year and model truck you do. I just went out and checked mine on the spring center bolt measurment. Both sides run the same length spring.



Looks like the dealer sold you one spring that has the wrong part number on it. Mine measure 24" from center of front eye to spring center bolt. Give or take a little for trying to measure it on the truck.



You might also want to ask the shop you went to why they didn't catch this before install. I allways lay the new spring beside the old one before install and check for correct centers and length.



Do not drive the truck in this condition. If you run into wet streets. It can take off about any direction it wants to.
