New FASS wiring

I just purchased a FASS 150 for my 05 CTD and my nephew told me that when he put his on that the computer wanted to see a load on the factory pump wiring and it threw a code. He had to cut a relay or something to get rid of the code. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a simple fix for it?

The only wire that i know of that you are supposed to cut is the big black outside wire at the top of the fuel tank wire harness..... Dont cut any others than that..... From my understanding
