Well, not exactly a 'fix', but my solution for now. I was tired of people bugging me about the dent that the PO put in the left fender of my diesel. I don't have time to fix it yet. Heck, haven't even gotten to the KDP solution. So i thought this might keep people from bugging me about it for awhile.

Have a sense of humor, will travel. :-laf

Looks like a Toyota... or Hyundai  perhaps, met its demise there. You know , like when you see those crosses on the roadside.

I had a Lexus run into the front of my truck. I was stopped , he did 8k worth of damage to mine. slid right under my truck all the way to his windshield.

Some time has gone by since my silly little fender gag. I finally got around to fixing the dent the right way when I was working on my KDP and fuel pump gear. I thought I'd tack up some shots of the work. The fender pounded out pretty well with 6ft of 2x4 and an 8 pound sledge. I was a bit nevrous of my aim with the sledge though. One wrong swing and the right fender would have been a match for this left one. :-laf

I checked on some OEM red paint to respray the repair. I was quoted 157 a quart for a match to my Exotic Red!!! The clearcoat and reducers were extra. Since that was a deal-breaker, I found out that Krylon rattle-can Cherry Red is a pretty darned good match. Shot it for 3 bux. After buffing the blendline, it's hard to even notice. The last shot here is before buff out.

I like being a cheapskate! :D
