This seems too good to be true. If this will work on our 3rd. gen. CTDs, We should be able to go 500,000 miles before a major fuel system breakdown.

Hey Ryan Battelle, did you ever hear about this?? Has anyone else??

If anyone knows about this or has a way to find out, PLEASE share the information.

Thanks, Chuck

I find it interesting that Cummins thinks enough of the ULSD fuel's lack of lubricity that they would offer something like this, even though they were involved in the creation of the lubricity standard for the ULSD fuel. Just shows that they do care about preventing damage to the system by trying to follow Bosch's recommended 5 micron absolute filter requirement along with a bonus of added fuel lubricity. Maybe a little bit late for systems already in service, but they're paying attention.

I wonder what the PSI drop is across that element? the sub-micron Frantz I use will cost about 4 PSI across it - too much for a stock fuel pump alone to deal with - but my added pusher does OK with it...
