Well, I'm super excited, found a gorgeous '02 quad cab 5-spd, 4x4, CTD at a local dealership this weekend. I've been wanting a diesel for quite some time now and this one was perfect. So I ended up getting it. I absolutely love the thing. Drives great, gets great mileage (so far) and looks good. The dealership did not provide an owners manual though and I was looking to find out how big the fuel tank is. It's a long bed if that matters. Thanks

Eric

thanks for the info guys. What kind of fuel mileage can I be expecting around town/highway? So far I've put about 110 mi. on it and the gauge has only come down 1/8 from full.

My manual says I have a 36 gallon fuel tank. When my "low fuel" light comes on and I fillerup, I can only put 25 gallons of fuel in it. I tried running it longer one time and got it down to 32 gallons to fill it. My mileage without any mods to the truck was around 18-19 highway speeds and no load. With all my mods now on the highway I've been getting around 16-17, but I can't seem to keep my right foot out of the engine compartment.

I get about 21-22 on the hiway. I spend a great deal with the cruise on, so that's how it works out at sea level. With my boat out back I just got 18. In stock trim I got around 16mpg mixed city/ hiway driving.

I usually run 'er about dry between fill-ups, and when my low fuel light comes on it takes 33-34 gallons to refill it ($75 lately:eek: ). I run 70 mph on my 40 mile trip to work which is on 4-lane highway, and includes several stop lights. I range 18-20 mpg for this type of driving (no towing), and I like to hear the exhaust roar, so I'm not driving granny style, but not flat out either. The 18-20 seems to depend mostly on winds.

Mine runs 2000 rpm @ 70 mph in 6th, 1500 rpm @ 70 mph in 6th over.
