1.6l VW diesel parts needed

Were can I Get this Tee-shirt?

Should'nt someone with a SMALLER displacement engine boast they they can beat the LARGER displacement engine.

Not the other way around?

Let's put 16,000 lbs. behind a Powerstroke and a Dodge Cummins and see if they can keep up with a Cummins ... . Oh! ... that's right... . a Ford Powerstroke is not rated to TOW 16,000 lbs!!!

By the way, just today I was getting onto I-10 in Scott, Louisiana with my fifth wheel and a Ford PS was right behind me, towing a slightly smaller fiver (I know it was smaller, about two feet, because we were in the same KOA and I remembered the fifth wheel and the truck). When we pulled onto the interstate, he went into the left lane and tried to get around me. He didn't do it. I wound up 5th to 3000 rpm and hit 6th and he gave it up and got behind me. He eventually passed me, because I ain't towing my fiver at 75 mph! It was a newer truck but I don't know if it was a 7. 3 or a 6. 0, but he got whupped on the takeoff!!

They are all boasting about 400 and whatever the torque. We can spend half the money and get over 500/1000.

In the TDS thread there is another link to another thread about a guy thinking 388/736 with a whole list of mods including 140 chip, ball bearing turbo, "swamp" (ooh im scared) injectors, and 4" exhaust is good (???). Hell, with just my box and stage 2s I could be putting those numbers down.

Buy a Ford, spend a lot of money making it run high numbers, or buy a Cummins and spend a little money making the same.

Anybody actually have any numbers for how much HP he puts out? They make it sound like he has one of the most powerful PSD's over there.

I don't know what it is but every time I look at his truck it reminds me of Monica Lewinsky... . I haven't seen any Dyno reports or timeslips, could it be more show than go?

jarsong

there are two videos at least on the diesel-central website. one is named after his truck "super f350" or something to that likness under the Tulare, CA October Showdown 10/2002 section. that one shows him pulling the bajesus out of a sled :D

the other one its towards the bottom of the page and its fairly good sized down load called "A Day At The Drag Races" it has a few diesel trucks running the quarter. that truck is in there a few times.

thats all i got. taker easy

Isn't it kind of stupid to put "Cummins Killer" on your F350 badge? I mean, all that does is indicate the standard to which you are comparing your truck. Then later the guy says "However you could not spend $500 on your dodge and beat me at a pull!". Well, geez... a stock dodge with $500 of mods agains a PSD with WAAAY more $$ into it than that? What's with the uneven comparison? Why don't we compare apples to apples here? Oh, I know... because he'd have to change the badge to read "Killed by Cummins"

I PMed him on TDS and asked what his numbers were. Something to the tune of 425 HP I would guess, not sure on torque. When he lets me know I will let you guys know.

Here is his reply to my thread where I asked him. He will be dynoing for the first time on June 6th but will not be running straight #2 but diesel and propane together.

Need to qualify something here... .

Is should read:

Buy a Ford, spend a lot of money making it run high numbers, or buy a Cummins and spend a little money making more HP/torque reliably.
