Well I decided to do the front brakes this weekend before leaving for the OuterBanks next week. AutoZone is great with there Performance Friction Carbon Metalic lifetime warrantee. All they needed was my phone number and I got new pads. I keep 2 sets so I don't have to take off a set to get them warranteed. (this is the 3rd set now in 85K miles, that don't sound to good, but there much better then stock pads)
Last time I changed pads the calapers were kind of stiff to move so to be safe I decided to do calapers this time.
Raybestos Remanafactured calapers complete with all hardware, pins and pads (can't disclose my price, but its real good).
Anybody want to buy a set of brand new Raybestos pads? I will post what model they are when I get them, but the calapers come with pads, and I only use PFCM's. I'll give you a good deal on them!
Syntec synthetic brake fluid
Syntec synthetic power steering fluid
Gaterback belt
New PS Idler (if it gets here on time, ordered monday through mail, but if the mail lady's donky is tired, it may be over a week for 3 day mail to come)
New Front Wheel Seals (first repack in 85K miles)
maybe get the rotors cut for the first time? Still look great, and no wobble in the wheel while braking, we will see what the MIC says first.
Sure hope I never have to buy rotors! $189. 00 list each ($90. 00 my cost) special order
Is there anything special to bleeding brakes on this rig or is it the same as any other truck (only has RABS)
