Anyone heard of GFI Industries? Canadian company and they have a fuel filter, GF 7867 that is supposed to work as a replacement first filter, the onecovercthe differential. Any experience with them?

I'd imagine they're JUNK-----just like these :

A pair of OEM MOPAR filters can be shipped to your door for $96.......

You can imagine a lot of things, doesn't make them true. I'd advise you to do some research on the co and find out who actually manufactures the product and get its flow rate and micron specs before you decide.

Price out the repair cost of a fuel system damaged by a generic fuel filter that allowed contaminates to pass..............Fca stepped up with a nice filtration system.

Yeah.......and now that we have a really nice filtration system, some want to :{ because of the expense. I'm out of warranty (136k miles) and I still change both of mine within 15k miles and I still use MOPAR / Fleetguard / Parker RACOR pieces.

Those of you that want to cheap out = Your Truck / Your Warranty / Your Battle with FCA *IF* you encounter a fuel related warranty issue.

For $96/pair shipped for the MOPAR pieces......I *imagine* I'll just continue to place my orders with Amazon periodically. Thanks for the "advice"......I'll just go with what I know works and run MOPAR / Fleetguard / Parker RACOR pieces as they've already done the research, flow rates, and micron specs for me.

Know about the Amazon prices, bought them. However the prices carried each time I checked. I will need a good shop to change mine as I have passed the age when I can get out and get under.

Doing some research on why we were having issues (fit, longevity, durability) with some reduction gear filter elements, I found that there are a handful of small manufacturers just within Texas and Louisiana. They will find a high volume or high dollar filter for the local industry and market then sell them to the penny pinching company purchasing agents. They advertise that they can build any filter with the same quality but less expensive. I'm sure they'll market the filters on these trucks and slap them together and put them on Amazon or eBay. I bet there are just as many or more that have them built in China too.

Filters relative to the cost of repairs due to saving a couple of bucks buying an unknown quality filter is really nothing, compared to the damage and costs the inferior filter will subject you too.
