Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) New fuel pressure guage - reads ZERO!!

Ok, got my mechanical fuel pressure guage all hooked up and went to bleed the air out of the line from the Shrader valve to the isolator and I noticed the pump wouldn't cycle. It groaned a little once and that's it. So I started the engine and slowly loosened the bleed screw and the motor started dying like I was letting air IN. Apparantly the lift pump is dead?? Guage reads 0. Any ideas?

Yup ... another one bites the dust ... time to visit your local Cummins dealer. :{



Since you are buying a new one you might look into relocating it back near the tank, lot of guys here using the "Vulcan" kit and seem happy with it.

I wonder how long it has been like that... ... That is exactly how I found my LP was dead. 3 stock LP's later under warrenty I put a FASS in. Now I have 19PSI at idle and 15-16 WOT all day!!



Fix it soon and pray your VP is not soon to come.
