Its the same company as the one geno's garage sells. I bought one lasted 1. 5 years 20'000 miles after two pumps with 90'000 miles on truck went with a fass and love it

Maybe. . dunno cuz the Geno's product comes with an external inlet filter & modified inlet line for use with the filter. The added filter IMO is there to stop damaging debris the oem obviously felt was cause for early failures.

There is no mention of other parts with that new Carter Pump. The Geno's offering is nice too, I have done one using theirs and fit was perfect.

The article said that the new pump used a brushless motor. Has anyone disassembled the old pump to see if it uses brushes? Brushless motors are far more reliable than brushed motors, the new pump could be a big reliability boost. Rockauto shows this pump for $154. Link here: CARTER Part # P76110.

Do like the idea of brushless just hope they used quality parts on the controller.

My airdog made mine run quieter, better fuel mileage ,and better performance and why should I go back to a pump that only lasted 50 k?

You don't have to go back to this one, its just an updated design that should last longer and is a direct replacement so labor and availability of the part while on a road trip might mean less down time should there be a failure.

Thanks Matt, it's good to know they are improving the reliability of it. For me, the stock pump in the stock location works just fine.

whats updated on this pump carter made the old ones and they were brushless, plus its still pulling fuel instead of pushing it, like its intended to do I still see it as a pump that will fail quickly.
