New G56 question...

... I've put the required 500 miles on my new truck prior to pulling my trailer. Today, on the highway in 6th gear I heard a slight "squealing" noise (best I can describe it) and a vibration in the gear shifter at the same time. It did it twice on accelaration and once while coasting in 6th gear. I got off the highway and drove surface streets. Later, without the trailer, on the highway and in 6th gear, no more noises or vibrations. The trailer weighs about 4. 5k lbs. Any ideas?

Do you have an exhaust brake? My jake switch mounted on the shifter makes a sound that can almost be discribed as a squeal at times, put some pressure on the switch knob and it goes away.

No exhaust brake. This noise came from the transmission area, and the shifter vibrated at the same time. Kinda scary coming from a new transmission.
