Just got a boost and pyro to go with my trans temp gauge. Now, can anyone tell me if there is any correlation between boost and/or EGT and fuel mileage ?

Usually as boost increases usually EGT's increase. Now as far as fuel mileage, as the boost goes up more fuel should be getting fed into the engine which would mean your fuel milage would go down.

Higher egts indicate your engine is producing more power and more power equals more fuel burned.

If you can maintain lower egts at steady speed cruise you are consuming less fuel.

However, don't drive yourself nuts driving to keep egts low because towing, hauling, running into a strong wind, or climbing grades requires more fuel which produces higher egt.

Basic rule, boost 10 or below and EGT 600 or below pre-turbo. This comes from over one million miles on 2nd Gen 24v.
Good Luck Capt Phil

IF you will watch your boost gauge you can see when you are using more fuel. I watch mine when driving with no tow it helps to save fuel. Good Luck
