Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) new gauges

just put installed new westach gages, a fuel gauge w/ss hose, to vp44,boost/egt pre turbo. 1. fuel pressure is 12psi @idle psi goes down w/more throttle 2. boost goes up to 20 w/heavy throttle,but falls at 70 mph. 3. egt i have both post and pre . both run about the same is this ok

Boost will climb in relation to RPM, not speed, i can do 90 and if i am in overdrive, i will have less then 10psi. If i floor it it goes right to 20 and stays there untill is downshifts and rops the RPM's. EGT under load will be similar both post and pre, the difference will be noticed at idle and low RPM's. Everything sounds normal.

I have allways heard and was told to add at least 300 deg. to post temp on the EGT?????

Yes, at IDLE.

No at all speeds especially when towing and pulling hard. Thats what I have heard.
