Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) New Gearing....

Possibly looking to change out my 4. 10 gears with 3. 55s... Anyone have a good place for parts?? And how difficult would it be for a 6 speed manual HO??

If you have never done one, find a good shop that is qualified, they can be complex. Be sure and use genuine Dana parts, they just fit better. Parts are easy to find. If you tow or use oversize tires you might consider the 3. 73 gear.

One of the guys here swapped his entire housings with someone who had 3. 54's and wanted to run big tires. That may be the most cost effective route if you can find someone.
