After doing an extensive search last night on this sight and getting conflicting reports, I headed down to NAPA to get 3 Precision 295's and 3 351's. No go, sold out, went to Carquest and they looked it up and had in stock the joints that are called for, for my truck. They fit perfectly and are greaseable. PART #2-0054. According to Carquest book this is the same part # for 6 speeds and SWB trucks. Also, same part # for axle joints. There was no filing needed, no finagling, nothing. Went right in, easy job. Why hasn't anybody posted this before? Is this new? By the way i shimmed my carrier bearing down 1/4 inch, and no more launch shudder. 90k miles I have put up with that shudder, and all it took was longer bolts and a spacer. I wanted to go 1/2 inch but all I had was 1/4.

So again the part # from carquest is #2-0054. No filing required. Oo. Direct replacement.

I will get a copy of the Carquest part #s tomorrow and post it. I thought that the axle joints are different than the drive shaft joints. According to their book it calls for the same part #. I will post this tomorrow when I get a chance. By the way it came to $37. 37 for two joints.
