Just installed my T-Rex grilles upper and lower. Install was very easy.

Was there anything in the space the lower grille occupies now prior to the install?

Nothing there but the bottom of the transmission cooler and radiator! Just waiting to get whacked. I made a screen that covers and gives a little protection. Also put screen on the back of the grill inserts to keep the bugs from getting stuck in the transmission cooler.
