Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Hi all, well I finally joined the TDR. I bought my truck in 97 and never looked back. It was my first venture into the diesel world and I will never go back to a gas engine truck. I pull a small 22’ travel trailer not weighing over 5000 lb loaded. 
I lived in San Antonio for 5 years and everyone thought I was nuts for buying a solid black truck, but it sure does shine up nice and they all admired how nice it always looked, especially with those chrome westin steps.
I won’t hesitate to buy another black truck. Yeah it’s work to keep clean but no matter what color I would get, I would take the same time and care to keep it shined up anyway. Just don’t wash/wax in the sun. 
Well my wife got a job with the Air Force here in Mildenhall England last year and I left my truck and camper with my son in Jacksonville, Fl.
I really do miss my truck, I think more than my son, j/k and know he is driving the dog sh-t out of it. I pay for all the maintenance and he puts insurance on it. What a deal hey. So if anybody in Jax Fl sees my black truck, and it better be sparkling, yeah right, make sure my son is driving it OK, otherwise give him hell. He must like it allot considering he is starting truck driving school next week to get his CDL. Damn never would have thought that one.
Well here is my problem, should I go ahead and let him have the truck and buy a new 2003 when I come back or take the 97 12v back and bomb the hell out of it?

1997 Solid Black 2500 4X4 SLT 3. 54, auto (lazy), loaded except leather (next time) fully stock with chrome westins (love em). Son taking care of it (driving the you know what out of it in Jax Fl) while I’m overseas.
