New guy with questions

I just purchased a ram 2005? 2500 4x4 ctd and see a lot of post talking about the 2004. 5 can anyone tell me when the production dates on these start and finish? Mine was manufactured on 8/04 and is 325 h. p. 5. 9 . I assume mine is a high output 600 correct? Sorry for all the stupid questions but trying to get up to speed here with everyone else.

If your truck has the lift pump on the fuel filter its an 04. 5.

If not (in tank) its 05.

Yes it would be an HO, HPCR High Pressure common rail fuel system. 325/610 (at the flywheel) I think they run around 290/500 at the rear wheels. The 05's have the fuel pump in the tank and the intercooler is different and won't handle as much boost which should,t be a problem unless you Bomb it some. i believe the turbo's are designed for just under 30 #s of boost. Pretty sure I'm on track here if not someone else will chime in. Good luck and enjoy your new truck.
