I tabbed my KDP and replaced leaking head gasket. Bled lines to injectors. When I crank engine it does not fire at all. 1995 12V.

I had trouble finding the timing hole, so pulled #1 injector and got #1 at top with valves closed and adjusted valves according to shop manual. When I bleed at injectors, fuel is squirting out of each. Makes me think no compression or have I missed something?

When you had #1 at TDC, #6 was also at TDC. The valves were closed with lash on one, slightly open on the other--if you used the same thickness head gasket. If you set the valves in the wrong order, that could be your problem. Here's how to tell: check #1 again, going to TDC where there is lash. If you put in lash at the overlap TCD, there will be excessive lash at either that TDC or when you roll the engine over another 360 degrees. Furthermore, one of the two #1 valves will start opening immediately after TDC if you set the lash at the overlap position instead of the firing TDC. If you set lash at firing TDC (remember it is a 4 cycle engine), the valve will not move for a number of degrees of rotation away from TDC.

Finally started

Thanks Joe, Rechecked valves, all were OK. Guess I didn't bleed fuel lines enough. Started this morning. It is great to have help available, and quickly also.
