Just finished a long process of replacing the headgasket. The head has been o-ringed and I am using a marine gasket. I am noticing bubbles around the nuts on top of the head studs. The moly lube is bubbling on a couple of the front studs. Is anything wrong? If so, what? What do I need to do to fix? I followed the ARP directions that came with the studs. I am confindant the torque is correct too. TIA!

I know you said you followed the directions , does that mean that you retorqued after a couple of heat&cool cycles, I've seen mention of that on a lot of posts here and I've put maybe 100s of headgaskets, and amost everything thats less than 20yrs old should be retorqued [stock gaskets], I haven't done a CTD yet . A question I have for CTD headgaskets, when working on other cars and trucks if I use some of the aftermarket better gaskets they don't tell you to retorque is this happening with CTD ? And then to help with your problum , some manufactures recomend putting a block sealer in with a new headgasket ,if its a little bubling then I would think that it would work.

Just keep your eye on it, when the engine heats up the first couple of times it builds pressure in the head bolt holes in the block and pushes out the lube it will stop in a day or two then just wash it off.

Thanks for the replys. I have been told the marine head gasket does not require a re-torque. Most of the time, the gasket holds up really well the first time.
