Finally! I have been waiting to purchase a set of the Power Vision mirrors (WITH the heated feature) since purchasing my Ram in June of 1998. #ad

I was contacted by my friend Jason Burton of NW Custom (509-291-3800 or 509-993-0811, www.omnicast.net/nwcustom ) who is also a Power Vision dealer (I've been bugging him about when the HEATED mirrors were going to be released for several years now). Needless to say, I ordered a set of the recently redesigned power extended mirrors. #ad
Power Vision told me they are receiving the new mirrors today and will be shipping to dealers later this week.

From what I've been told, the new mirror head design is pretty much the same as the previous design however, the crisp lines of the old mirror heads have been softened (i. e. , more rounded, looking somewhat more like the OE mirrors). The power extension drive system has also been upgraded, requiring no periodic maintenance. I was also assured the rock solid stability of these mirrors is still present with the new design (they have been road testing them for sometime now).

Installation of these new mirrors is said to be much easier, integrating much easier with the OE electrical system (i. e. , direct plug-in connectors... I would imagine you would have to have the '98+ OE heated mirrors for this to hold true). Additionally, there are NO holes to drill, they use existing holes and provided backup plates to mount the new generation mirrors.

Man, I can't wait! No more funky passenger side mirror glass! Yeehaw!

Power Vision can be reached at 1-800-337-2557 or on their website at www.powervisionmirrors.com (please note their website is currently being redesigned and will feature their new mirrors in about one week).
