Hi all,
I just bought a '92 model Ram, Cummins, (of course) 5 speed, four wheel drive, 3. 54 gears with X-tra cab. This is exactly what I was searching for. I found it here on the TDR in the classified section recently. The problem was that the truck was in Colorado Springs, and I was in Central California. Well, I contacted Chip Shields anyhow, thinking I might go that far to get the "right" truck. After numerous emails, viewing photos, phone calls etc. I decided it was the right truck, and my 10 year old son and I flew from Fresno to Colorado Springs and met Chip, handed over the cash, and started home.
Chip is a stand up guy, after seeing the truck in person I concluded it was better than I thought it was going to be. Chip is a member here so if you read this Chip I'm saying hello.
Had a great trip driving home thru Colorado and Utah, seeing some country I had not previously seen. Somewhere up on I-70 west of Denver the odometer flipped to 100,000 miles. This might have been one of the crazier things I've done in my life, but it sure was fun.
Here's a picture of the truck in Zion National Park, my boy actually took this one.

PS if your wondering about my nickname, it's a long story but is just short for quick shift. I've been a member for several years at moparts.com and that's my handle over there too. I have a '71 Dodge SuperBee completed, and a '70 Sixpack Bee in the works. Moparts is probably to the mopar musclecar guys, what the TDR is to Cummins guys.
