I JUST GOT MY GROVER 24IN HORN HOOKED UP IT SOUNDS GREAT Oo. BUT THE COMPRESSOR I HAVE IS A HADLEY 12V IT RUNS TO LONG TO FILL UP THE 5 GAL TANK IT WILL SHUT OFF BECAUSE IT GETS TO HOT. HOW DO YOU GUYS DO IT WITH YOURS I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE ON HERE USE THE HADLEY

I put a "T" in the line and can fill the tank from an external source, but once it has some air in it, the pressure switch (on at 90#, off at 120#) keeps the run times relatively short. As it happens I have a Thomas compressor, but as long as you don't have any leaks and don't run it way down, it should work without overheating. Mine is under the truck, and gets lots of air when moving, so that likely helps keep it cool tooo. .

I have a Square D pressure switch on order (about $20. 00) I'll try and get the part number. They can be ordered with differant pressure settings depending on the tanks working pressure and have a 40# differance from off to on. They should last a long time as they are designed for 120V.

testaub: I thinks you will be disappointed if you think a 120v switch will last longer than a 12vdc switch. The opposite is true. Low voltage switches are made with much heavier components than high voltage switches because low voltage means higher amps. watts = volts x amps
