New injection pump installed

A few weeks ago i had to take my truck down to Kingsville TX. to do some work for SPAWARS. while i was down there 2000 miles from home my truck started idling funning real rough and erratic rpm's would jump up and down 100-200 rpm, to play it safe i turned the pump back and drove home.



When i got back called PDR for a new injection pump, i had one on my door step in 4 days ( Thanks Bob ) put the pump in the following weekend (two weeks before i leave on vacation) fired it up truck ran nice but not quite how i wanted it to run, so out came the pump again on labor day ( i'm leaving on vacation on the 12th of Sept) next day aired the package to PDR on WED. they got to there shop on FRI. had it on the test stand tuned up and back to me on the 10th.



I installed the pump tonight and it's running sweet really smooth got most of my top end i wanted ( i can never have enough ) The pump was timed correctly on the bench and seemed to have helped my EGT's i'm still going to do some tweekin when i get back from vacation, i'll post a better performace report after i get some miles on it, i'll probably put about 6500 in the next 2 weeks.



I'm heading for Utah first going out 64 and 70 so keep an eye out.



Thanks again to PDR and BOB especially i bugged the crap out of him for a few days, i was cutting it a little close on time but they came thru for me and i feel much better heading out with a new pump ( think i was gettin an ulcer)

Happy to hear you got her up & runnin Why is it that these ugly gremlins have to show their face just prior to vacation time :-{} I will have ALL winter to install the new injectors,4" exhaust and turbo... ... ... Come time to head down to the Outer Banks, the injection pump will crap out :{

every year before vacation i check everything witha fine tooth comb, got everything checked out runnin good and BOOM there goes the pump Oh Well what are gonna do, everybody around here still calls me crazy for driving this old thing across country every year, but it's fun.



i drove here a little today seems to be doing quit well with the camper and trailer in tow, i'll still be a nervous wreck until i get on the road tomorrow AM
