Need Help With Wiring/Dead Draw Issue

replaced all six injectors today to repair a long crank problem.

Now it starts wright up but smokes blue at idle and black when you step on it.

Any ideas?
 
they will puff blue on the first start up because some oil has leaked into the cyl while they were out but should go away after the first start up did u use new copper gaskets an double check the tq to make sure there is no oil leaking pass the copper gasket
 
Form My understanding You may badge Bosch remans Under licensing by Authorized seller,Distributor... Many companies claim they have the resources too Reman 3gen Injectors, But Bosch is not making available many parts to do this successfully.

Here's one reason we discourage Remans. I took the call a few weeks back form caller wanting 2 Remans injectors,after trying to move him to a New set of 6 New. ( I did not think he had the technical skills to find only two bad injectors much less getting the correct two) I ended the call politely, then about 1. 5 weeks later he call wanting 4 New ones " well I said whats up" he began two inform Me he bought two remans but his problem still existed " Now I'm not even going here" I politely ended the call. He call Back and said his truck is smoking really bad and knocking. "WOW" You had better tow it to someone who knows what there doing. Two Days later he call again to inform Me that one of the remans burn down the hole it was in. Just think if I would have sold him all New..... Now Just think If I would have sold him the 4. . He could have claimed we burn now his motor,and WHAT a mess that would create... .
 
the place i got the injectors from said bosch is the only ones that have the equip. to rebuild them:confused:



The CR injector reman landscape is a convoluted minefield. Actual Bosch remans can be garbage as well. They CANNOT decide on rebuilding protocols nor provide adequate parts to do it. Bosch makes no money on remans, they are perfectly content to sell new. Even the reman part #'s are frequently new injectors.



You probably need to run thru the contribution tests and return flow tests to see if you can nail it down. Recheck the TQ tubes and injector positioning. Did you replace TQ tubes and 0-rings?





Assuming this is ongoing and not just on first startup, it sounds like 1 or more injectors are not quite right.
 
did a cylinder kill test and it stops smoking when I kill cylinder #2

Do I return just that one for warranty or do I ask for all six to avoid future problems ?

If it was me I would take the whole lot out, take them back, and specify NEW injectors only. Yes, they will cost more but burning an engine down ain't cheap. #@$%!



Too many problems like this with remans.





How much did you pay for each injector?
 
well I had some time to play this weekend while wating for a whole new set of injectors to be sent.

So heres the deal I replaced #2 reman injector with one of my used cores with 140000 miles on it and low and behold truck runs perfect with no smoke.

sad that an injector with 140000 miles on is better quality then a fresh reman.

Your not the first nor will you be the last that happens to. No consolation but at lest it didn't go bad when you were driving a long distance and you missed it. Hope the next set works better for you.
