Ole' Red Mare has 320k on the clock, time for new injectors. Do I have to change any associated parts or just order 6 injectors.

@Chief USA makes a good recommendation. However, I replaced my injectors at 303,000 miles and re-used the crossover tubes. I think it is more of a personal choice.

If the fuel system was a common rail system, then I would replace the crossover tubes. From my understanding, the common rail fuel system runs much higher fuel pressure and the edge filters inside the crossover tubes are subject to tears in the fine screen. The filters cannot be inspected.

Our 24 valve second generation injectors that operate at a much lower pressure are more tolerant of foreign matter contamination than common rail injectors. The lower pressure also means it is less likely that damage will occur to the edge filters. That is why I re-used my crossover tubes.

I just had mine changed @ Oregon Fuel Injection and they did not change the cross over tubes, siad not normally necessary and being a Bosch rebuilder I trusted them. I had 335K miles or so, no noticeable issues but thought it time on their recommendation, they say average life on the 24v injectors is 150K miles.

What injectors did you go with? I did change connector tubes this time, just because, 312k on the RV's. They last a long time. New Bosch injectors and tubes.

What is the advantage to upgrading to 275hp injectors. I'm ready to change mine soon, but am curious.

Nice upgrade, 30hp and 90 tq. I like them because they are an oem Cummins engine rating. You will need a boostfooler and elbow to take advantage of them, if you don't have anything now.

Well I'm ready to pull the trigger. Besides 6 injectors, what other parts do I need to order. I'm not changing the crossover tubes. (i.e. any seals, gaskets, etc.)
