New Injectors

Hey guys:



I was wanting to either buy a set of Lucas' today or a set from www.smokindiesel.com I need to know how to get ahold of Big Don, anyone know how to contact him?



Can I run these bigger injectors with stock 21 cm housing? I have gauges, straight pipe, and K&N air filter. Lookin for more smoke/ power Ready to beat the old 2 nd genners.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to get rid of that 21 cm2 housing. Get a 16 cm2.

BD Power and TST have the Lucas. Another option is Diesel Dynamics for injectors. Don't expect to beat ALL of the 2nd genners

What Joe said about the turbo... No way will the 21 give you anywhere near acceptable results.



The 16 is cheap, but the 12 and 14 wastegated housings will be more responsive. the 12 may be a bit small for big time horsepower.



Choose the injectors by the HP you want to make.



PW injectors are worth about 30, Lucas about 50, and not sure if the others have been dyno evaluated.



I recently got an email about a guy's mods... . Let me quote it below:

intercooler, 518 trans, exhaust exits front of rear wheel,

flowmaster muffler, pump screw in two turns, diaphram maxed, hx35 turbo with stock hot end housing,pump timing stock at 1. 45, found a 3200 plus governor spring, 29 to 31 lbs. boost. there was no smoke on the dyno at 221 hp. that was the reason i could see the faint wisps of smoke from

the rear wheels. i guess i just like to brag to much, always did like to be different, most gasser pickups wont play with my in this town any more. truck weighs 6380 lbs high 15s 89 mi per 1/4 mi. it is 4/4.

What he doesn't say in the above quote, is that at WOT, he has EGT at 900 degrees, whereas before his mods, he could get to 1250. He's running an HX35, but with the 18. 5 exhaust housing.
