My dad has a 95 w/250,000 miles on it and completly stock. Runs terrible compared to mine. Any way he needs new injectors about 40 hp he has no gauges and wouldn't watch them any way so I do not want to over do it.

Were can I get the best injectors? best price?

Thanks in advance

Walter

Try a set of 215hp or the 300hp marine inj. prices are about the same from all the venders. $360. 00 for the 215s and $275. 00 fr the 300s These prices are frome city diesel. I would lean toward the 215s if I did not have gauges

I had 370's in. My clutch started to slip after 3000 miles. I think 275 to 300 hp injectors would be best.

But if you want now power get the 370's.

If you are looking to increase mileage stay under 300 hp.

I have the 300's along with a JRE#1 plate and can easily hit 1400+ empty. I can't tell you how hot it would be with a stock plate but you may want to look at the 215's if you don't have gauges. Try the classifieds.

215s and flat plate hit 1600* with the gsk. without the gsk, the egts shouldn't be a factor with 215s (and i'd suspect the same for 300s).

Either get 215's or 370's..... I've heard too much displeasure about 300's... sorry!

DD2's are a good injector for power with smoke control, never heard anything bad about them.

Do I need new injectors?

I'm the new guy, been reading TDR to the max, but still asking dumb questions. I think I'm going to do the mild bombing and go w/ #8 plate for my '95 2500, std trans. for 230 hp. 1st dumb question, Should I put in better injectors, or should I have my injector pump calibrated and the stock injectors cleaned, or leave them alone? and if I go with new, different injectors, can I (should I), get a little more power. (I've read about 215, and 370 injectors. Do those #'s mean the HP they are supposed to produce? and if yes, how can that be known if you change other things, ie plate, etc. ) Any and all comments apreciated. . Thanks. . John G

I have a tst #5 plate full forward with the 215 injectors, unsure of the hp but it does make a difference over stock, my thermo coupler is post turbo and has yet to reach 900*.
