I thought I'd pass this along for those who are considering or already have ISSPRO EV series gauges:

Piers has been bugging ISSPRO for these and I spoke with a representative at ISSPRO today to check on the availability of the new EV series FP gauge they are working on. I sent my Nordskog unit back as I really wanted something to match the EV's I already have.

The word is that it is a for sure go.

It will be an electric gauge, based on their EV line, and will for sure be available with a white pointer and probably an orange as well (no for sures). The gauge will read from 0-30psi and is being specifically targeted for the Cummins.

They are working on the sending units and getting samples ready to be tested by the end of the month- and will be tested to 100PSI for reliability. Assuming the units are within spec and pass testing stages, they feel that the units should be available no later than mid March 2003. Piers has them on order and will have them as soon as they become availableOo. .

I just ordered my Isspro gauges a couple of days ago and when I asked for the Isspro EV the gal there didn't know what they were and checked and said that all the Isspro gauges part numbers started with EV. Is the EV a different series? What is the difference?

WD

The ISSPRO EV stands for "Enhanced Visibility". It is a series of gauges they have.

You can see some of the different ones that are already offered by going hereand looking through the catalog.

All ISSPRO gauges start with an R, including the EV series. The person you were speaking with was likely referring to their own part numbers and may only carry the EV series.

Dkevdog, thanks for the info. That's what I have been waiting for, looks like I'll be stopping in at Piers.

I would hope never to see 1500 on my EGT let alone 1800:eek: ;) .

ISSPRO only makes a boost gauge to 60 PSI, higher than Autometer, but not above that. They do make air pressure (mechanical and electric) that go to 150PSI, that might be an option.

Kev

confirmation ...

Dkevdog, I too have been talking to Isspro. I believe I talked to Kelly and she told me that testing of the EV electric fuel pressure gauge would be going on this month (1/2003).

I'm holding off ordering gauges until the FP comes to market. Thenk I'll get all 3 (boost, pyro, and FP). :D

My ISSPRO EV 0-30 psi FP gauge will be here this week!

I was interested in the regular one, but then they had the EV Gauge, so I figured I would take it for a test drive!

I need one to put in the hole where my trans temp gage is now. The needle on it hardly ever moves so I might as well put it in the glove box.

Charlan, where did you order yours from?

Got mine from Piers. Well, Harry, because Piers was out of town. the gauge with the isolator kit was about 165, and I had to get the 3 gauge pod, along with more chrome to accent it! if you know anyone who wants to by the 2 gauge pod on there now, shoot me a line!

Chris are you saying the Electric FP kit is available now? Or did you get the mechanical??

Kev

Kev... . I am not sure, but they told me it had an "Isolator Kit" with it for that price. I had to cancel today, due to the fact that I got some bills in the mail, and need to pay them before I get more goodies! That, and I need money for Rodeos as well.
