Wiring lights for flatbed without hacking truck harness

Today I installed Nixon Offroad LED taillights that had plug n play resistors that came with it on my ‘03 3500. Previous taillights were LED with exception to the reverse bulbs and the new are all LED. Old lights did not have the lamp out problem. New lights triggers the lamp out for a split second on the release of the brakes. Lamp out stays on while the indicators or hazards are on but remains off if the indicators and brake are engaged simultaneously.

Are there resistors on each circuit (stop, tail, reverse) in the lights? If not, that's where I'd start.
I am unsure as to whether or not the included resistor works for each circuit, as it is sort of built into the taillights. The stock harness attaches to the appropriate connector on the light and below that a red and black wire lead to a different connector which you plug the resistor into. Maybe this only serves the reverse as reversing doesn’t set off the lamp out warning?
