New Lift Pump Number.

I got a new lift pump (transfer pump) the other day. The number I requested had been superseded by this new number: 3966134. The parts guy didn't know if the pump was improved but the number had changed.



The reason I had to get a new pump was oil leaking out of the pin that holds the prime lever to case. Evidently, according to parts guy, it is common for this area to leak out around the seal if you don't use it to fill the fuel filter when changing.



When I changed the filter in late December, I decided to use the prime lever to purge air out of lines, usually I just fill filter and fire it up, shortly after that the oil leak appeared. Hope this dosn't happen if I have to replace the filter along side the road in the middle of nowhere. I will get another one, for a spare before I go on vacation this summer along with a few sealing washers and gasket.



The other parts I got were: sealing washers (2) #3963983

and gasket #3939258.

How about you go into the "discontinued support" forum for the 1st Gen guys and add in the all the part numbers you have... .

It will help the next guy and it's your find... . good on ya bud. .

Besides, it gets you name on the "rolls" for the future guys who come along. .
