I just picked up a new lift pump, and supply line hose, Cummins part #4089602, 3969705. I ran into a problem with the OEM supply line quick-connect. The OEM has a rectangle style connection. The replacement has a round connection. I just exchanged the OEM connection with the replacement to get the truck running. Has anyone had this happen? Did they change the connections on the fuel line after '03?

My new oump is #4932707. it has the same holes, round and the same elec connector.

Since i relocated the old pump via Vulcan this, with fittings installed, will sit inb my tool bix to be installed when my FPG finally showws less than 5psi at WOT

Paul: Update your truck profile and signature - after you get the '03 back from the dealer.

Keep me updated on how you make out on the deal...

Later,

Matt

98. 5-2002 use the engine mounted electric lift pump.

2003-2004. 5 use a filter mounted electric lift pump in the engine bay.

2005-2006 use an in-tank lift pump located in the fuel tank.

Trucks still under warranty are retrofitted with in-tank lift pumps by the dealer.
