Could some one tell me why my truck is stalling , when going from park to drive. also the tack is bouncing alittle. I do now have lots of power but you can hear the rpms going up and down. I called Rip and he stated that dirt or foreign matter may have gotten in some how. Has anyone else have the same problems after swapping out injectors. To further explain better my truck has only stall out a few times.

Edit: The comment I made was out of Line and I do apologise fo hijacking the thread..... But Ive had my own problems with him and his products prior to being a vendor.

again I apologise for the comment.

I have Don's 1. 6's, and a manual transmission. Mine will SLIGHTLY lope when under a very light load - actually sounds sorta neat - and has NO negative effect on idle or down the road function, dunno what it might do against the drag of a torque converter.

Unless yours is unusually severe, or caused by outside influences in the fuel system, it might indicate some of the sensors need cleaning or changing - and a good dose of fuel system cleaning additive might also help.

Nothing wrong with Don's stuff - OR his integrity, I have no doubt he'll work with you to the best of his ability! ;)

Loping

I've had DD2's&Mach 1. 6's(current) in my truck and have experienced two events: first, when coming to a halt after a freeway run,I experience a slight loping for a few seconds, secondly: if the truck has been shut off, upon starting and immediately engaging drive I get a semi-stall situation, partly I surmise from the tight converter, and the inability of the v. p. to keep up with the higher fuel demand. You might have other issues.

I'll second that! After buying 4 sets of injectors elsewhere, I bought a set of Formula Ones. Finally got my p-pump conversion to idle. Send him an e-mail and he'll take care of you.

off the cuff comment for sure. The F1 products are second to none

Were these new ones, or used? How many miles on your truck?

No worries about Don's injectors. He makes good stuff, and takes care of his customers.

My truck has 83,000 miles ,injecktors are new. I know all about donm's injeckors being number 1. with that said ,I'm just trying to figure out what could be the cause and the cure. diesel tune in Downy ca. did the install. I called today they said to bring it back . that they would take care of it. the other problem I have since the install is my banks brake when on will also stall the motor when I get down to 1400 rpms. the motor just stops kinda scarey whith cars behind you. I called banks they said my autotrans box is bad tobring it in. My vp44 is o. g. to the truck, could it be the banks big hoss fighting the increase in fuel sorry for the rant . just want my baby to get well !

Hopefully the installers will take care of you. I was going to suggest that maybe the injector washers weren't right. Maybe an extra one left in, or one left out, or one otherwise damaged. Sniff around for fuel leaks, possibly a fuel supply tube not properly seated and torqued.

I doubt it is the Big hoss as mine doesn't make any noticeable changes until around 7-8 lbs of boost then it takes off.

Sounds like good ol' DON M Fixed you right up!!!!!

I don't have a problem with customers voicing their opinions, but a vendor ought to have the common sense and decency to keep his yap shut. NOT a way to make a good rep. I don't care who's talking or who's being talked about, that's just crap.

Mine is smooth as glass at idle with the Mach's, lots of power, and better mileage. My buddy the diesel mechanic said he has never seen anything idle smoother. It does buck and jump at lower RPM's, but that is the Catcher doing that, did it with the stock sticks. Dunno what your deal is

I installed Jammer 5's in my truck. A month later I installed a Hot Rod pump.

The idle was nasty. And it had a miss throughout the rpm range. I left it that way for six months.

I installed a set of Don M Mach 4's in the parking lot at IRP. It's like I have a new truck now.

Take it for what it's worth.

Sounds like good ol' DON M Fixed you right up!!!!!

LOL :) Makes me ponder things.

My truck will lope after coming off the throttle for a moment or sometimes just a bit at idle when it is cold. Still has stock injectors.

This thread got hi-jacked bad, not sure why. Maybe it could get jacked back around to help Arlewis out.

No harm no foul besides it went over my head any ways. hopefully I'll find out soon after the new vp's in if it still lopes and stalls.

I guess i missed the comment made about f-1 diesel, but from MY OWN EXPERIENCE I can say that we have had several customers try several different injectors from several different companys with varing reports, but those that eventually tried don's injectors have all reported back that they love them, one customer who is well known int he slep pulling world (I will not give his name other than to say a silver dodge out of St. Louis area) told me he loved them and he was sure it helped his truck out tremedously. So that is just my personal experience and the reports i have been given.
