Mastercraft has recently introduced the Courser C/T in LT33x12. 50R17 and LT35x12. 50R17. I don't have the specs on the LT35x12. 50R17's, but the LT33x12. 50R17's have a 2600 pound carrying capacity at 50 psi and are a "D" load range.

Slowly but surely there's a few more tire choices for the 3rd Gen SRW truck owners.

Give me a yell if you need any extra info !

I posted over on the DTR website so I won't repeat myself, but it looks like they are not really available yet, at least in the 35" size. Can anyone find someone who claims to have them in stock?

I didn't see any LT235 80 17"s??? Are they planned? We have a couple of rigs here including a 00 Dodge V10 3500 dually with the Mastercrafts on. Look like an agressive snow tire.

It's good to know they are actually being made, but any idea why my local dealers (Notheast PA) say they aren't available yet to be ordered?

Any idea if they are coming out with the 35" in the C/T-C version? (10 ply and load range E I think, right?)

How much to ship me a set in PA? :D

I don't have any pics, but the link to Mastercraft's website will have the tread design pic that you can see. I'm going off memory from my talk with the Mastercraft rep from June, but I believe they will be crankin' out the LT235/80R17's as well... . can't remember which models/tread designs.

Do they have anything in the 285/265 70/17 D or E range I tow alot and hate to go that big.

Thanks, KO

Local distributer seems to be unwilling to order a set, or my local dealers wont bother to ask, not sure what is going on but I can't get a set. Alsot I am being told $190 / tire which seems a little high for an "off" brand. I could of got the Goodyear MT/Rs in 37" for that much a little while ago (although now they have jumped to $220).

Ouch, looks like Goodyear tires are being made from diesel fuel. :-laf Checked prices again and Tirerack shows $257 a tire. They were $195 a few months ago and then $220 or so more recently.

To my understanding of a few years ago, (goodyear personel) told me it took 11 gals of oil to produce one tire, along with the coke for color etc from the refinery. FYI

Just me penny's worth

I'm ordering a set of the Courser C/Ts in 35x12. 50R17 for my stock height 3rd gen. I was quoted $195 each installed, yadda, yadda. These are not inexpensive tires. :(

I'll be sure to post any significant impressions.

Got the tires on. These things are big and they grip very well on my limited use so far (dirt roads). Mastercraft gave me a number of 613 revs/mile and I had the computer reset to this but my odometer still seems off. If they are 34. 88" tall shouldnt that number be more like 590?. I looked up a BF Goodrich tire and it was 596 for a 34. 8" tire.

Anyway, so far so good. They really fill the wheel wells and look great. There is definately road noise (hum) with them on the highway which some may not like. Also, with my stock suspension, they rub the control arms at full lock (35x12. 50R17 tires).

No because most tire molds differ so a 35/12. 50 17 BFG could very easily have a different RPM than the same size in a different brand.

Wrapping a string around two same size tires but different brands always shows a different circumference. Nice ride BTW Oo.

Matt400,

Thanks for the compliment on the truck. I guess I don't understand why a tire listed as 34. 8" tall would have less revs/mile than a tire listed at 34. 88" tall. They should be very close I would think as this is the actual diameter not rounded off. In any event, the 613 given me is way off. After ten miles I'm at least 3/10ths of a mile off in total distance. I need to go lower but I'd be guessing at the number. Using the 34. 88" diameter and calculating the number I get 578 revs/mile. I think this number would be closer.

Maybe the tech just plugged in the tire size rather than the RPM. There is a different menu for RPM vs the tire size. 636 is what I changed mine to and is spot on checked with a GPS.
